Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular medication, you should be able to get a prescription without always seeing a doctor. To order your repeat medication there are a number of ways you can do this.

The simplest and most convenient way to order your repeat medication is ONLINE this can be done at any time even when the surgery is closed via the link at the top of this page.  See reception to obtain a login and password.

We also have an automated ordering system via the telephone which, does not require online access or a password.  Firstly you will need to obtain a PIN number from our reception team.  Then simply follow the instruction prompts when you call the usual practice number and enter you PIN.

You can make requests using our online eConsult service during practice opening times.

By hand - there is a prescription box on the right as you enter the surgery doors.

  • Don't forget during the Christmas Period and Bank Holidays to ensure you have enough supply of medication to last and order a little early.

eRD - Electronic Repeat Dispensing

If you have regular stable medication that is unlikely to require occasional/frequent dose changes you could convert to eRD - electronic repeat dispensing.  This means you will not have to order every month, the GP will review and set your repeats for 6month to 12month in advance.  These prescriptions will automatically be sent to your pharmacy of choice every month electronically without the need to order at the practice each month.  Once the review period is complete your pharmacist will inform you to contact the GP practice for a review.
