SELF CARE FORUM - www.selfcareforum.org  This site offers helpful advice and leaflet which are downloadable.  We believe in empowering our patients to have confidence in managing their conditions.  It will also provide helpful advice through the winter months.

PRACTICE CLOSURES

The practice will be closed Thursday 15th November 2018 from 12pm for GP and Nursing Education.  We re-open on Friday 16th November 2018 at 8amIf you require a doctor urgent and it cannot wait until the surgery re-opens please dial NHS 111.

Future closures planned Thursday 15th November 2018 from 12pm - reopen Friday 16th November 2018 at 8am.  Thursday 14th February 2019 from 12pm - reopen Friday 15th February 2019.

The practice temporarily closes on Thursdays between 12pm & 2.00pm to facilitate staff training and education.  If during this period you need to speak to a Doctor URGENTLY please call 07436803445. This number is only available on Thursdays during this period.  PLEASE NOTE THE PRACTICE CLOSED ON UK BANK HOLIDAYS

Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
